Another Busy Day

Here is a card I made today whilst still trying to de-stress. I thought I would make an A5 card as I've not made one for ages! I simply folded a piece of white A4 in half and then dug out my Paper Nation TSV which, to be fair, I have used a lot of (as compared to many of the other TSV's I've had which are gathering dust!) Anyway, I've not used any of the backing papers yet so I decided to use some on this card. I love the lady in the bath, I think that may be me tonight after I've posted this! I went through stages of covering my cards solely with one sheet of paper but I've now got into the habit of using different sizes of paper and piecing them together like I did on this card. The green and pink papers were free with a mag (think it was Simply Cards and papercraft), I never used to use these free papers but I've been using a lot lately and they're really nice. I decided to go for some black matting and layering and stamped 'best wishes' and 'happy birthday' with my free Penny Black stamps from a magazine subscription (I love them, thanks Quick cards Made easy mag!!!). Finally I added my favoutite Prima flowers and added brads to the centre, I would normally use smaller brads with these blooms but I like the effect of these larger brads, oh, before I forget I also did a bit of doodling around the backing papers (I resisted doing faux stitching on this card!) I'm really pleased with the effect, what do you think???
Anyway, today has been like the rest of the week really, loads going on and so much stress but hopefully it's all sorted now! My mum is almost sorted, after so long living next to awful neighbours I am hoping that she and my brother are finally settled. The afternoon consisted of a mix of getting some food shopping in as I'm at work from tomorrow til Sunday afternoon (well with little breaks in between) and I was also called in to help move a bed up a flight of stairs! I'm just hoping that next week will be less stressful and emotionally draining!
Until next time xx
