The Creative Cottage Christmas Magic Kit

I couldn't resist whipping up these cards from the new Christmas Magic kit from The Creative Cottage... I just felt like a Christmas fix!

I just adore Sherbet dressed in all his little costumes...

I combined all of the PNG images together using the My Craft Studio graphics programme and re sized them to fit into a single image, I purposely printed the images onto card stock using a 'normal' print setting because I wanted to colour in the bears myself with Pro Markers and pencils and I used a white gel pen for extra definition...

And another card using super cute Santa, and rounded corners using my new Corner Chomper!!

Thanks for looking again!

Sketch and Stash, The Creative Cottage and Pollycraft Catch Up!!

Hi Everyone... I'm sorry for the late post this fortnight for Sketch and Stash... here is the sketch we would love you to follow this fortnight (created by Jill!)...

And for the challenge this time we are sponsored by The Creative Cottage with their new 'Come Rain or Shine' kit...

I decided to use the kit to make my card for Sketch and Stash this fortnight, it's a card for my mum who's having a hard time at the moment...

And here is the inside again using the kit, I love the rainbow and clouds paper...

And here are a few more cards which I made with the kit last week which I am more happy with... the little bear is called Sherbet and will feature in a lot of the Creative Cottage kits from now on...

And you've got to love these funky wellies... especially on a wet day like today! The kit is available now from The Creative Cottage... they also have a Christmas kit available for just £1 (and a freebie image) so well worth a look...

(Talking of Sherbet the bear in future kits... I just found this beauty in my Email Inbox and it's on sale now here... can't wait to play!!)

And finally here is my project for the Pollycraft Challenge which is to make anything but a card so I decided to make a Calendar...

Most of the calendar was made on the computer using frames and a funky font, The only real crafty bit was colouring in the images and bits of the letters and frame (oh and sticking the calendar on lol!) It's a great calendar in real life but I just couldn't get my camera to take a decent photo of it, time for a new one me thinks!!

I'm sorry for the lack of posts and commenting at the moment, like I said earlier, my mum is going through a really rough time at the moment and it's affected me in a big way so I'm just taking some time out right now... I hope you'll all bear with me and I'll try to be back soon!

Pollycraft Friday Freebie 'Joyful Tidings' Santa With Presents!

Look at this fabulous Santa which is the Friday Freebie this week over at Pollycraft (isn't he fantastic!!)

Again coloured with pencils and then decorated with some bits and bobs from my Christmas craft bag (had that ribbon forever!!) And just a quick tip, if you have ribbon like this which is just so chunky to tie, wrap a bit of cross stitch thread to tie like I've done here, looks cute don't you think??

Another Whiff of Joy Card...

This is a just because card really... it's another of the Whiff of Joy stamps which didn't get used last Christmas, I had an idea to try to go through all my stamps and try to make a card a day with them (not always easy though with a job and a child, but I'll try!)

I coloured the image again with pencils and added a beautiful glitter frame which I've had forever! The great thing about organising your crafting stash is that you get to use all your neglected bits and bobs (you'll never find them in the back of a drawer will you lol!!)

So that's my card, off to print off some digi images to make some more cards so should hopefully be updating my blog again soon!

Whiff Of Joy Challenge - Red, Cream and 1 Other Colour...

I thought I'd have a go at the week's Whiff of Joy Challenge as I wanted to use my Lizzie with Muff stamp which I bought last year but never got time to use on my Christmas cards...

The challenge was to use red, cream and another colour, I chose green (my cream is a bit white opps!) I coloured Lizzie with pencils, this is my preferred colouring medium at the moment as I can achieve shading this way. I have used a mish-mash of craft item on this card, all from my Christmas box. The papers are HOTP, the flower and ribbon are Brenda Pinnick , the greeting is PaperMania and then I added a bit of card candy.

And I used the leftover paper to decorate the inside (I never use leftover scraps so I'm trying to get them used on the inside from now on...) the stamp is a Dovecraft one, there are 4-5 on the sheet and they were only 99p from Ryman's stationers.

Well, that's it from me today, we had a great time yesterday at the Wedding shop, it was very posh and the dress was very expensive (should have seen my face when I saw the tag!!) We are just sitting here waiting for the health visitor to call for Dylan's 4 year check up, will try to prise the DS away from him before she comes, that won't look good lol!!
