I'm back again today with something a little bit different... I was inspired to make this card by the following challenges...
- CD Sunday Challenge - Artfully Asian
- Papertake Challenge - Do Something Different (non-cute and distress stickles)
- ABC Challenge - T is for Thank You
I dusted off some of my CDs and decided to use this geisha image from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD1 and the pink paper from the same CD but it's the floral papers on CD2. I did one of my all time favourite techniques on this card which is printing a pre-coloured image onto card stock and then going over it with Pro Markers, it has to be the most relaxing thing in the whole world (well, in my opinion anyway he he!!)
As well as moving away from cute for this card, I also tried out some distress stickles which I got in the January sales but hadn't got round to using, you may just be able to see the texture on her hair and kimono (so that's another thing I tried!!)
And finally I added this gorgeous Penny Black Thank You greeting which has to be my all time favourite Thanks You stamp and one which I use over and over.
And I also need to thank Jill who supplied the edge puncher which I used on this card. Jill sent me a huge bag of goodies which I am still getting over!! Thanks so much Jill!!
Well, that's it for today, I think I'll be back with cute again next time he he!!
Love Becky xx
