My Time to Craft Challenge

Oops... I'm a day late posting my card for the My Time to Craft Challenge... the challenge this week is black, white and 1 other colour... here is my card...

These stamps were an absolute bargain! They were 10p each at the NEC... well... I know they were only 99p to start off but still a bargain! They are last year's Trim Craft Christmas stamps. When I first saw them I didn't think I would use them as I don't tend to use small stamps... but I knew they would look good together... so that's what I did here.

This was a very quick card to make... I just did a slight blue wash with water colours and then just a bit of mating and layering... I'm thinking of making more of these for Christmas cards as I know not everyone appreciates 'cute' cards!!

In other news... I've been so naughty lately and have been filling up the credit card a bit. I can't believe all the bargains that are out there at the minute! I bought some lovely stuff direct from Docrafts, they had some wonderful scrapbook and stamp deals (and delivery was so fast!) Then I treated myself to the new Scrapbooking bumper box from Arty Miss as you always get loads of good stuff in these boxes! I also added a few other bits and bobs to my order... including some LLB ribbon trims... then saw that orders which contained his products were going to take 2 weeks to arrive! So I'm still waiting for that!! And then yesterday I ordered the new Daisy and Dandelion stamps from the Glitter Pot... they also have an exclusive Birthday set which I also had to have! Oh, and a set of the Penny Black clear frog stamps as I fancied making some green cards! Had a phone conversation today with a lady from The Glitter Pot as some flowers I had ordered had sold out. I don't know what she thought as Dylan was shouting "No Mummy, you can't talk on the phone" repeatedly in my ear hole!! I know who rules the roost in my house!!

So yes... been very naughty but I did have my Easter money saved up and I do work very hard at work so I thought I deserved a little treat!

Wow... that was a very long post! Congratulations if you managed to read it all lol!!

Love Becky xx

Lovely card Becky, I love that there is just a hint of blue going on. Certaibly sounds like you had a fab spending spree. Doesnt it feel good to spend money on the fun things for yourself every now and again! I know I felt good after I ordered the Annie stamp collection and nesties, now I have to see if I have enough left for the new Daisy & Dandelion ones too, its just not fair that all these lovely new stamps keep coming out! lol xx

Hi Becky....i'm loving this card, the stamps work so well together and what a bargain you had, didn't make it to the NEC ;0(,
Pleased to hear i'm not on my own with the spending...there's been too much temptation lately, but if the price is right it would be rude not to buy...lol,
Take care
