Here is the card I've made for the Dottie's World challenge this week which is a recipe, 1 Charmed download, 1 ribbon, 3 button and 1 handmade flower.
For my card I used Scruff in his bath tub, he's so cute!!
I coloured him with watercolours and pencils, my flower was made by tracing around a metal flower tag then inking around the edges, I think it looks cute and I'll be doing more to save money in the future!!
Now onto my clearout... it started last night. I was online and thought I'd indulge myself in one of my favourite past times, typing 'Scrap Room' into You Tube. Most of the tours are done by American ladies and I love to see their ideas for storage etc (and the way they say 'stickers' and 'love, love, love it!') I also have a fetish for listening to the sound of the plastic bags crinkling as they rifle through their drawers (weird I know!!)
Well, one thing I picked up on (and liked) was the idea of having all your clear stamp sets in one box which you can flick through with ease. Mine were all over the place, so I started off putting them into cello bags (as I'd got rid of all the packaging in an effort to de-clutter doh!!) and then I started putting all my unmounted and clear stamps into ATC bags (very good idea but only if you've got a box with narrow dividers as they slip all over the place!!) Anyway, to cut a long story short... just by doing this I now have 5 empty boxes (and big ones too!!) It's amazing what you can condense up!!
Also, today I popped into Poundstretcher and picked up 3 CD holders, they're flat packed (and really easy to put together) and they're only £1.99 each and on a 3 for 2 offer to boot! So I have used one of these to hold my favourite stamps (Magnolia, Sugar Nellie and Pollycraft) and the other I've filled with all my stamped images, with home made dividers to categorise them (is that sad or organised??) I'm not sure what to do with the third one yet!!
So anyway, that has been my last few days... If I can get some good piccies tomorrow I'll post them on here so you can see what I mean... off to You Tube to get some more ideas and a fix of plastic rustling lol!!
Love Becky xx
