A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge - One for the Boys

Here is my card for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge this week where they are challenging us to make cards for the boys! My inspiration for this card came from a scrapbook page layout by the very talented Jane Dean. I've got a bit bored with my card designs lately so I was scanning magazines for fresh inspiration and I thought this layout was just so cute. I stamped The Pirate and Knight and cut around their heads (I don't mind doing this if I've got the stamps, but cutting up stamped images I've received is a no-no for me!) I coloured them with distress inks and edged around the panels with a black pen. I topped them onto some text from a magazine which I coloured with blue ink. I hand cut and doodled all the hearts (these were all Jane Dean's designs) and I added my own drawn 'daddy' letters. I used a hole punch in the centre of the d's and the a, much easier than trying to cut them with scissors. I finally did a bit of doodling to complete the card.
Hope you like! Feel free to 'lift' the layout if you want to use it yourself!
Love Becky xx

Love this card Becky! It is very different from what you have been making recently but as always fab! I have to admit I have become a bit obsessed with doodling-controlled doodling!?!-since we had our little craft class! Those stamps are great-love the knight one!

Well done! It not easy to change the way you design cards - it's easy to follow a 'usual' theme but you have done a fabulous job here. A brave move out of a comfort zone - that has paid off big time!
Love the card!!
