The Creative Cottage are launching their new kit today called 'Fairy Wishes' and it's a really sweet kit, I love the colours and the images... if you want to create some really pretty cards then this really is the kit for you. Also, there is a limited introductory price for the kit of £1.99 (usual price £2.99) so that's a bit of a bonus too!
So here are some of the cards I made (all elements and greetings are from the kit except for the card candy pips!)... hope you enjoy!!
For printing the backing paper I use Satin Paper from Crafter's Companion which is £3.99 for 50 sheets or there is a 3 packs for £10 deal available too, I set my printer to 'normal' print and 'plain' paper for doing this.
The toppers and sentiments I print onto Gentle Gloss Card from Joanna Sheen which is £3.25 for 20 sheets and for printing I choose 'Photo quality' and 'Gloss or Photo Paper' settings. (Also look in your local Poundland, 99p Store or Value shop as they have some great packs of A4 photo paper too!)
If I want to print off the images and then touch up the colours with Pro Markers or pencils I print onto normal cardstock on 'Photo quality' and select 'cardstock'.
I don't usually print onto vellum or acetate much... but if you print onto acetate you can add glitter to the reverse which looks so pretty!!
I hope my tips have been of use to someone lol!!
Love Becky xx
