*** Crafting and General Life from Becky and her little sidekick Dylan ***

I've been busy!!

I thought I'd do a big catch up once a week until I have some more time to blog, that way it will enable me to return comments a little bit better :0)
******************************

My Time to Craft

So first up is this week's challenge at My Time to Craft. It was my turn to pick a theme so I made a simple sketch...

And here is the card I made using the sketch...

For this card I've used this sweet cow called 'Daisy' from Pink Gem Designs. I coloured her with Pro Markers and added some beads to look like grass (I stick these on by dropping them into a pool of glossy accents). The paper is by K & Co and the scrabble tiles are by Papermania which I've had forever!!

Dottie's World Challenge

And here is my entry for the Dottie's World Challenge, where you are asked to re-create the layout of a card you've already made...

I chose scruff in the bath tub and made this card...

This card uses one of the new downloads from the Holly and Madison collection. I thought I'd go for a textured look to go with the faux knitted paper from HOTP. The beautiful lace was a prezzie from my wonderful friend Cathy and the other bits and bobs were from my stash.

If you join in the Dottie's World challenge this week you will recieve a gorgeous and exclusive 'Holly in the USA' image from an up and coming collection!! Read all about it here!!

Pollycraft Challenge
Now onto the Pollycraft Challenge this fortnight which is PINK!! Well... this was a fairly easy one for me!!

I chose to use one of my Wilbur downloads on this card, I've used Cathy's lace again and just some really pretty things from my stash!! Dylan loved this card and said I had to make him one with Wilbur on!
I'm going to make him a card to tell him how proud we are that he's now in pants!!
*******************************
Pink Gem Cards
And here are some 'just for fun' cards which I've made with the other Pink Gem stamps which I treated myself to!!

I've wanted 'Denny in Love' for ages, so I really loved making this card. I used artistic licence and coloured him blue and purple with Pro Markers and matted him onto HOTP papers and a silver ribbon and button.

Here is Mr Becky's favourite (although he doesn't like the 'random' button lol!!) Here is 'Meg Fishing' again coloured with Pro Markers and HOTP papers, sentiment is Dovecraft.

Here is 'Mimi and Jack' how cute are they!! I used a paper by K & Co, not sure about it now though hmmm... or maybe it's the flowers...

I love this cute little 'Knitting Cow' and I thought it would make a good baby card! I've had the safety pin forever so I was glad to use it up! Papers are HOTP and sentiment Lily of the Valley.

And my final Pink Gem card is this little cutie 'Little Gem's Birthday'. It's my 2nd favourite image!! When I saw it I just HAD to have it he he!! Again coloured with Pro Markers, papers and card from HOTP, sentiment from my computer, the little black gems were from a big pack I got for just a pound, I prefer to buy loose gems and stick them on with sticky dots, it works out lots cheaper than buying the Papermania ones.

Some Scrapbooking!

And just for something a bit different, here are some scrapbook layouts I did last week. I love scrapbooking and really admire the 'professionals'. I really struggle with Scrapbooking, I just can't seem to fill the space, so I decided to do some A5 scrapbooking as it's more like making a card, I just need to find some A5 albums now lol!!

Well, that's it for this week... I'll be back next Tuesday with a new round-up (hopefully with some Gorjuss cards ;0)! )

Love Becky xx

Wow Becky each and every card is just gorgeous! The papers, images, embellishments you add are just perfect! Your scrapbook pages are fab such cute piccies of Dylan. I agree with you, I used to do A4 pages (as I have for this weeks sketch and stash ;0)) but struggle with filling the page, so bought a couple of 8x8 albums from ebay, much easier!!!
Also wanted to say I adored the first card in the previous post, the way you shaded the images with just a pencil was beautiful!
Hope you are feeling a lot better now.

Wow Becky! You have been busy. I am loving your work especially the ones with the Pink Gem Designs lol.
Your little boy is sooooo adorable!! I am loving the Daisy Cow card. The first time I have seen her in colour. I have been itching to make a card with her myself ever since I designed her. You have done such a fabulous job with her.I don't have time to make cards with all my designs. Have more due for release this weekend and I am designing new stamps for April just now. X
